At the age of of around 5 years old I remember discovering my love for music. I found myself captivated by the melodies and lyrics . I used to sing and emulate music icons..legends who my parents and Grandparents admired .
As I grew older, I discovered the joy performing in school plays, where somehow I ended up playing leading roles. I definitely know that my primary school had a big part to play in what I do for a profession today.
During my modelling career, I formed the pop group ‘Fresh’ alongside my brother, Steven. We released two singles, ‘Feel My Rhythm’ and ‘Did I Say Tiamo,’ signed under the Magnet/East West recording label. Following the ‘Fresh’ project I moved back into the fashion industry for a few more years…
… One day, my agent sent me to go to a TV commercial casting at Pineapple Studios in London. The receptionist sent me into the wrong audition room by mistake where they were casting for two musicals Hotstuff and Sweeney Todd..
Even though I knew I was in the wrong room I cheekily told the director (Paul Kerryson) that I could sing to my surprise Paul Kerryson and the musical director Julian Kelly invited to audition. Little did I know that this would mark the beginning of my remarkable journey in musical theatre performing. I landed the lead role of ‘Joe Soap’ in the show ‘Hotstuff’ at the Leicester Haymarket Theatre, and from there, momentum grew.
I went on to portray Cab Calloway in ‘The Blues Brothers,’ musical touring across the UK and Germany. My West End debut was playing the role of the adult ‘Simba’ in the original cast of Walt Disney Theatrical’s ‘The Lion King.’
Performing a leading role in a brand new show as big as The Lion King was a huge responsibility, but the experience was something I will cherish forever. I graced the stage for three and a half years, performing to over three million audience members at my time with the company.
Following ‘The Lion King,’ I reprised the role of Simba in ‘The Legend of The Lion King’ at the Disney resort in Paris. From there, I took on the role of Marvin Gaye in the ‘Dancing in the Streets,’ tour with Motown legend Martha Reeves. The show eventually opened at the Cambridge theatre in the West End, I performed with the show for another year in the west end.
Following my time in, ‘Dancing in the Streets’ I was the show compere and one of four principal vocalists in the Michael Jackson west end show ‘Thriller Live,’ celebrating the music of the legendary Michael Jackson.
National TV came about by auditioning for the Andrew Lloyd Webber/ITV studios casting show ‘Superstar,’ I landed third place.
I still love performing I discovered I the realm of writing producing, and directing. I created two shows: ‘You Can Do It‘ and ‘The Feel Good Show.’ These projects allowed me to create ‘Feel Good’ experiences for audiences.
Currently, I am writing and recording new original songs. One of my recent releases, titled ‘Peace and Love Around the World,’ carries a message of unity and hope. I also perform regularly with my band.
